Bishamon LV-Series Manual Fork-Style Pallet Positioners | 20.5" or 27" Wide Forks, 3.3" to 32.8" Trave

The Bishamon LV-Series manual fork-style pallet positioners are heavy-duty skid lifts that raise palletized loads from a near-floor-level starting position (3.3" lowered height) to a maximum working height of 32.8". Unlike scissor lift carts with flat platforms, the LV-Series uses a fork-style design that engages directly under pallets and skids, allowing the unit to be positioned under a loaded pallet and the load raised to the desired working height without unloading and reloading. No batteries or power are required; lifting is manual hydraulic.

Construction features include reinforced forks, a stabilizing roller channel, twin lifting chains for balanced load support, and a baked enamel finish for corrosion resistance in active warehouse and production environments.

Four models are available in two capacity tiers and two fork widths. The W suffix indicates the wide fork option (27.0" vs. the standard 20.5").

Models and Specifications:

♦ LV-10, 20.5" W, 42.5" L forks. Travel 3.3" to 32.8". Capacity 1,000 lbs. Standard fork width.

♦ LV-10W, 27.0" W, 42.5" L forks. Travel 3.3" to 32.8". Capacity 1,000 lbs. Wide fork option. Choose when the pallet or skid entry opening accommodates the wider 27.0" fork spread.

♦ LV-100, 20.5" W, 42.5" L forks. Travel 3.3" to 32.8". Capacity 2,200 lbs. Standard fork width, higher capacity.

♦ LV-100W, 27.0" W, 42.5" L forks. Travel 3.3" to 32.8". Capacity 2,200 lbs. Wide fork option, higher capacity.

Selecting the Right Model:

♦ Capacity, 1,000 lb vs. 2,200 lb, the LV-10 and LV-10W handle up to 1,000 lbs. The LV-100 and LV-100W handle up to 2,200 lbs. Select based on the maximum expected load weight with a comfortable margin above the typical operating load.

♦ Fork width, standard (20.5") vs. wide (27.0"), the W-suffix models use 27.0" wide forks. Choose the fork width that fits within the entry opening of the pallets or skids being lifted. Wider forks provide greater lateral load stability; standard-width forks are required when entry openings are narrow.

♦ LV-Series fork positioner vs. Logitrans HL-Series Thork Skid Lift: both products manually lift pallets and skids to working height. The LV-Series lowers to 3.3", nearer to floor level than the Logitrans HL-Series (which is a different mechanism design). Verify which fork geometry and operating ergonomics best match the application and the specific pallet or skid type in use.

Where Commonly Used:

♦ Warehouse Palletized Load Staging and Picking, warehouse operations staging palletized products for order picking. Use the LV-Series to raise the load to an ergonomic picking height, keeping items accessible from the top of the pallet stack rather than requiring workers to bend progressively as the stack height decreases.

♦ Assembly and Kitting from Palletized Components: Assembly and kitting operations where components are delivered on pallets use the LV-Series to bring the pallet to working height at the assembly position, reducing floor-level bending during high-repetition parts retrieval throughout the production cycle.

♦ Receiving and Inbound Load Inspection, receiving departments inspecting inbound palletized shipments use the LV-Series to raise the pallet to a comfortable inspection height, improving visibility of product and reducing the need to kneel or bend during count verification and damage inspection.

♦ Production Floor Pallet Positioning, production support areas staging raw materials, sub-assemblies, or finished goods on pallets. Use the 2,200-lb LV-100 or LV-100W models to position heavy palletized loads at the work-position height required for the next production step.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the Bishamon Manual LV-Series skid lift?
The Bishamon Manual LV-Series skid lift is a fork-style pallet positioner designed to raise skids and open-bottom pallets to an ergonomic working height. It provides a simple, manual lifting solution that helps reduce the physical strain of loading and unloading. The fork-style design makes it easy to engage palletized loads while maintaining stability. It is a dependable choice for improving handling efficiency in industrial environments.
How does the LV-Series improve ergonomic material handling?
This skid lift allows workers to bring loads to waist height, reducing repetitive bending and awkward lifting. Better load positioning supports a healthier posture and less fatigue during daily tasks. Over time, this can reduce the risk of strain injuries and keep operations moving smoothly. Ergonomic improvements like this also help employees stay more productive throughout the shift.
Why is the fork-style design important for pallet positioning?
The fork-style platform is ideal for skids and open-bottom pallets because it provides secure access to the underside of the load. This makes it easier to lift, stage, and reposition palletized materials compared to flat table designs. The open fork configuration also supports smoother loading and unloading in tight work areas. It is a practical solution for operations that rely heavily on pallet handling.
Where are Bishamon manual skid lifts most commonly used?
These lifts are widely used in warehouses, shipping departments, production support areas, and packaging stations. They are especially helpful wherever workers repeatedly pick from or load onto palletized products. Because they are manually operated, they fit well in facilities seeking ergonomic upgrades without powered equipment. Their versatility makes them useful across many industries. What should you co
What should you consider when choosing the right LV-Series model?
Buyers should look at load capacity, lift height range, and how well the forks match the pallet or skid dimensions in use. Floor conditions and maneuverability needs also play an important role in daily performance. Durability is key, as skid lifts often undergo constant cycling in busy environments. Selecting the right configuration ensures long-term reliability and safer handling.
