Wesco CPII Pallet Truck

Wesco CPII Pallet Truck

Wesco CPII Pallet Truck | 5,500 lb, 11-Gauge Forks, Polyurethane or Nylon Wheel Options

The Wesco CPII is a 5,500 lb manual hydraulic pallet truck with 11-gauge reinforced forks and a 3-year pump warranty for hard-use dock and warehouse applications. An overload bypass protects the hydraulic pump from damage caused by exceeding the rated capacity. A rubber-coated handle provides a comfortable grip. Fork travel is 3" lowered to 8" raised.

The CPII offers a choice between two wheel packages: moldon polyurethane or moldon nylon. Polyurethane wheels roll more quietly and resist floor marking on finished surfaces. Nylon wheels are lower-cost and suitable for standard concrete warehouse floors. Both wheel types are available at both fork widths.

Four models cover two fork widths (21" and 27") and two wheel types. All models use 7" wide x 48" long forks with a 5,500 lb capacity.

Models and Specifications:

♦ 272775, 21" W, 48" L, 7" wide forks. Capacity 5,500 lbs. Travel 3" to 8". Moldon nylon wheels. Overload bypass. 3-year pump warranty. 11-gauge reinforced forks. Rubber-coated handle. Nylon wheel option at lower cost.

♦ 272776, 27" W, 48" L, 7" wide forks. Capacity 5,500 lbs. Travel 3" to 8". Moldon nylon wheels. Overload bypass. 3-year pump warranty. 11-gauge reinforced forks. Rubber-coated handle. Wide fork, nylon wheels.

Selecting the Right Model:

♦ Fork width, 21" or 27": The 21" wide models suit standard pallet entry openings. The 27" wide models provide a broader fork spread for pallets that require a wider fork width for lateral support. Both widths are available with both wheel types.

♦ Wheel type, polyurethane or nylon, moldon polyurethane wheels provide quieter operation and less floor marking, making them suited for facilities with finished concrete, tile, or mixed surfaces where wheel marks would be a concern. Moldon nylon wheels are lower-cost and well-suited to standard warehouse concrete floors where quieter operation is not required.

♦ CPII vs. Standard Deluxe: both are 5,500-lb manual pallet trucks with an overload bypass. The Standard Deluxe has a 5-year pump warranty and 8-gauge (heavier) forks at 6" width, available in three fork lengths (36", 42", 48"). The CPII has a 3-year pump warranty and 11-gauge forks with a 7" width, available only in a 48" length, with the option of nylon wheels. Choose the Standard Deluxe when the 5-year warranty and multiple fork lengths are priorities. Choose the CPII when the nylon wheel option is needed, or the 7" fork width is preferred.

Where Commonly Used:

♦ Dock and Receiving Pallet Transport, shipping and receiving departments loading and unloading palletized freight at dock positions use the CPII for reliable 5,500 lb manual pallet transport with overload bypass protection during high-frequency dock activity.

♦ Warehouse Floor Pallet Movement, warehouse operations moving standard GMA pallets between receiving, storage, and outbound staging use the CPII as a capable, lower-cost-per-unit alternative to the Standard Deluxe when the 3-year pump warranty is sufficient, and the 48" fork length covers the pallet types in use.

♦ Facilities with Floor Surface Requirements: facilities with finished, mixed, or sensitive floor surfaces use the polyurethane wheel CPII models for quieter operation and reduced floor marking compared to nylon wheel alternatives.

♦ Budget-Conscious High-Volume Operations, operations purchasing multiple pallet trucks for facility use, use the nylon wheel CPII models as the lower-cost entry point for 5,500 lb manual pallet truck capability with overload bypass, scaling the fleet cost-effectively across multiple dock positions or warehouse zones.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the Wesco CPII pallet truck designed for?
The Wesco CPII pallet truck is a heavy-duty manual pallet jack built for daily pallet transport in warehouses, shipping areas, and industrial facilities. It provides a reliable way to move palletized loads efficiently without powered equipment. This pallet truck is designed for consistent performance in busy environments with frequent pallet handling. It is a practical solution for operations requiring durability and reliable lifting.
How does overload bypass protection benefit a pallet jack?
Overload bypass protection helps prevent damage to the hydraulic system by reducing strain when loads exceed safe limits. This feature extends equipment life and reduces the risk of costly repairs. It also improves reliability for operators who need consistent lifting performance shift after shift. Built-in protection adds an extra layer of confidence in demanding applications.
Why do fork size options matter for pallet handling?
Fork dimensions affect how easily a pallet truck can engage different pallet types and load configurations. Wider forks provide more support for larger pallets, while narrower options improve maneuverability in tight aisles. Choosing the right fork size helps reduce load shifting and improves handling control. Matching fork size to your facility’s needs ensures smoother daily operation.
Where is the Wesco CPII pallet truck most commonly used?
This pallet jack is commonly used in distribution centers, manufacturing plants, retail stockrooms, and loading docks. It is ideal for pallet staging, inbound unloading, and moving loads between storage and shipping zones. Manual pallet trucks like this are especially valuable in areas where powered equipment is unnecessary. Its versatility makes it a core tool in many material handling operations.
What makes the CPII a dependable long-term investment?
Heavy-duty construction and quality hydraulic components contribute to long service life in high-use environments. Features like overload protection help reduce wear and improve reliability over time. A strong warranty adds additional peace of mind for businesses that rely on pallet trucks daily. Investing in a durable pallet jack helps minimize downtime and supports a consistent workflow.
